Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Beach
A chopper soaring over a crowded southern California shoreline abruptly began spiraling uncontrollably, finally losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm fronds as onlookers observed.
Videos uploaded online capture the aircraft beginning to twirl above the beach then descending towards the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a steps close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were rushed to the hospital including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.

Officials indicated the aircraft was associated with an annual “Cars with Copters” benefit occasion planned for the next day.
