England's Head Coach Thomas Tuchel stated that he holds "no conflict" with Phil Foden following these players were omitted the England team for upcoming matches against Latvia and Wales.

"Bellingham always deserves to be here. There is the factor that he has not quite regained his optimal form again at Real Madrid - he has not finished a full match.

"The player wanted to be called up. We conducted a phone call."

Tuchel made an effort to highlight his good rapport with Bellingham after he said sorry to him earlier this year for calling his conduct during a match as "repulsive" in a live interview.

Tuchel explained that he used the words "without meaning to" and would be more cautious going forward.

Inquired if he had any issue with the player, he said: "No. There is no issue either with Foden or Jack Grealish.

"Foden is back to influencing and shaping games for his club. Jack is almost to being back to the best version of himself.

"There exists no personal problem."

Bukayo Saka replacing the injured Madueke is the sole alteration to last month's team, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Quansah keeping their spots after being last-minute call-ups previously due to fitness concerns.
